Passion

success

I love this quote from Nelson Mandela…

There is
no passion
to be found
in settling
for a life
that is less
than the one
you are capable
of living.

Isn’t that awesome?  Anyway, seems like I’ve been stumbling on the subject of passion a lot lately.  It’s been the topic of podcasts I’ve been listening to this week and articles and books…and then I ran across the Mandela quote on this beautiful website.  It’s funny how patterns show up in life.

Life can be a zoo at times….but sometimes you actually get to GO to the zoo!  :)

Halloween 1

{Halloween 2011 Paper Bag Scrapbook}

Spiders usually creep me out but this one is harmless…and so adorable!

Fall 1

{Fall Paper Bag Scrapbook}

A slight variation on the one above!

Creepy 1

{Creepy Halloween Paper Bag Scrapbook}

It’s TRICK or TREAT time!  :)

Friends 1

{Friends Paper Bag Scrapbook}

Ok…not so “fall-ish” but still very fun!

Sweet Birthday 1

{Sweet Birthday Memories Paper Bag Scrapbook}

Trying not to be sad I won’t see my son on his birthday on Wednesday.  :(

So, there ya go…a little “autumn on parade” of new items in my Etsy shop.  You can see the “insides” by clicking on the scrapbook or by heading over to my Photostream on Flickr

I spent a good chunk of this past weekend sitting my butt in the chair and cranking out scrapbooks.  It’s been awhile since I’ve had enough free time to get really lost in the process and it felt so good!

The crazy-busyness of summertime has finally cooled off a little bit.  My girls are settled back into school…their junior year of college (already!) and my son has made the move 1,905 miles away to Los Angeles to follow his movie industry dreams.  It’s so hard letting go but he’s happy…so I am too.  I really do have amazing kids…I’m so blessed!  :)

So Inspired…Brown

boardwalkIf we spend a lifetime
trying to
distance ourselves
from the parts of our lives
that don’t fit
with who we think
we’re supposed to be,
we stand outside of our story
and hustle for our worthiness
by constantly performing, perfecting, pleasing, and proving.  --
Brené Brown

Stumbled upon these words of wisdom on BrenĂ© Brown’s blog and they jumped out at me.  I’m not sure which is more of a struggle… “who we think we’re supposed to be” or the part after the comma.  What do you think?
