Scrapbooks to Capture Your Summer Fun!

Wow! Is it just me or does it seem like summer is winding down? The stores are full of back-to-school goodies and vacations are coming to an end.

"Back-to-school" has a new meaning this year at our house. Now back-to-school means moving out. All three kids will be in college this fall. What a change. How exciting and scary all at once!

Of course, back-to-school also means I'm headed back to work. I have two more weeks of down time before the crazies start!

I have loved having the time this summer to work on scrapbooks. My goal was to build my inventory in my Etsy shop to 100 items. Didn't quite make it but I did get up to about 60...which isn't too bad.

So, how was your summer?

Did you do fun things? Say, spend a day at the zoo, go to a water park, or a trip to Disney!?

Did you take lots of pictures? :)

Are you looking for some way to display those photos? All six of the scrapbooks shown above are available in my Etsy shop.

Water Park
A Day at the Zoo
Vacation 2009
Disney Fun
Happy Camper
Summer Fun

Need something a little different? I also do custom orders! Pop me an email (apicketfencelife at gmail dot com) and we can come up with something special just for you!

Now...go enjoy the rest of your summer!

5 Reasons Paper Bag Mini Scrapbooks Rock!

  1. They're a quick project! Just pull out a few of the best shots of the event, add a little journaling and you're done! Totally under-whelming.
  2. Mini scrapbooks are the perfect "frame" to sit on your desk or coffee table. What a great conversation starter!
  3. They tell a story. Your day at the zoo, a family trip, a birthday party, a sports season...condensed and portable!
  4. They're fun! Family and friends can't resist looking...and they don't feel like they have to sit through a 100 page photo album to see what you did on your vacation.
  5. They make wonderful, thoughtful, unique gifts!

New things on Etsy...

Be sure to check out my Etsy shop for new listings.

Here are the Twilight and Michael Jackson things....they haven't found their way to Etsy yet...

So...what are your thoughts on Twilight? A fan...or not so much?

What about Michael? I'm a fan of the younger days...but the past several years he has kind of just creeped me out. I love his music though. There's no question he was mega talented. You can't listen to Thriller and not HAVE to MOVE! I loved, loved, loved the Thriller dance number in the movie 13 Going On 30. I thought it was a hoot.

Enjoy your day!

TODAY there is sun!

It would have been nice if there had been sun yesterday for the craft show too...but oh well. At least we were inside away from the rain.

The answer to my previous question...Michael Jackson and Twilight were both at my craft show...well, in the form of scrabble tile necklaces. Now that the sun is out, I'll go take some pictures and post them for you to see.

If you were AT the Dixon Petunia Festival craft show yesterday....thanks for braving the weather and stopping by my booth! Want another look at something from the show? Most things are listed in my Etsy shop. I'm constantly restocking my shop so please add it to your favorites and stop by often!

Please take a moment to check out my other blog Words & Photos. Since this blog is still so new, you can catch up by visiting my other one.

Enjoy your Sunday!

Getting ready for a craft show

So much to do...and I can't wait to share it with you...but for now you can go to my other blog and check out some of the things you might stumble upon at the Dixon Petunia Festival craft show on Saturday. Dixon High School from 9am till 4pm.

I'll try to get a few photos posted tomorrow of some NEW stuff that I'll have at the show. In the mean time...try to figure out what Michael Jackson and Twilight have in common....
