Scrapbooks make great Christmas (or anytime) Gifts...Let's Start with Scrapbooks for the Girls!





I created this book over the weekend to put in my Etsy shop...and today just noticed that it is MY wedding colors!  Ha.  Didn't even notice as I was making it.  This 6" book with 20 pages is the perfect "highlight" book for your wedding.  Makes a great gift for parents or grandparents or just a condensed version of your "big book" to place on your coffee table or have at your desk when coworkers ask about your wedding.  AND...I can even make it in YOUR wedding colors (instead of mine).  All you have to do is ask!  :)  Oh yeah...click on the caption for photos of the inside!

Of course, you have to have a book of the bridesmaids too!  Wouldn't these make excellent bridesmaid gifts?  Right up there with the mani/pedis and it will last longer!  AND, you can put the pictures OF the mani/pedis IN the book!  A little snapshot of your special day celebrated with your best girlfriends.

Moms can be hard to buy for sometimes but she will always love a gift that you can personalize with photos of her and her kids.  Oh, and here's a tip from someone whose mom has passed...you can never have too many pictures of you and your mom!  You will treasure the ones you have long after she is gone and always wish you had more.   Look inside this book here.

Ever had a bad nurse?  Then you can really appreciate the good ones!  Nurses do so much for us and they deserve some recognition.  Wouldn't this make her day?  You could even throw it in a gift basket with a bottle of wine, some cookies and a gift certificate for a foot massage!  More photos here.

New Scrapbooks

 

 

I’m Pregnant!  Scrapbook

A few new scrapbooks have found their way into my Etsy shop this week.  Hope you stop by and take a look.  I thought I’d start out with some “baby” stuff.   On Monday I became a new great-aunt again.  I know I should be able to say off the top of my head how many this makes…but I would have to take a few minutes to count them up! 

                 

I’m not sure how long it will be before I have new things listed in my Etsy shop again.  Right now I have a pile of orders to work on and the next few weeks are going to be very busy around my house.  I’m looking forward to my girls coming home for about 10 days before they head off to their summer internships.  One will be close by, in Blue Grass, IA but the other one is heading to Houston, TX for the summer.  Seems like yesterday that my babies were….well, you know…BABIES…but time moves on.  And so do they apparently!  :(   They’re doing good things with their lives though so how can I be anything but proud?!!!

I’ve done several of these Best Friends books…but not for awhile.  I still love the green, hot pink and black combo.   I guess that’s pretty obvious because the Sweet 16 book below uses the same bright colors!

Thought I’d throw in a masculine one just for good measure.   Finally got around to using some of that Tim Holtz paper pad that I’ve been holding onto for awhile.

                  

With the school year winding down (one more week…finals!)… I’m hoping to be able to dive back into my scrapbooking more consistently.   Maybe things will calm down a little bit in June.   Ha!  That’s what I always think!   :)

New Arrivals…

I can’t believe Christmas is LESS than 2 months away!  Tomorrow is Halloween and then in a blink of an eye it will be Christmas.  Why does the time go so much faster when you’re an adult than when you’re a child? 

As I sit in my studio I am loving the beautiful red, orange and yellow leaves still lingering on the trees, but there won’t be too many more days left to enjoy the colors.  The leaves are dropping so fast.  And, I keep hearing that dreaded word….SNOW…popping up.  Fortunately, so far it’s been no where near us but I know it’s coming…eventually.  I would seriously give anything to avoid snow this winter.  Driving on snow and ice covered roads for 2+ hours every day gets really old….really fast.   Maybe we’ll get lucky and not get ANY snow this year!  Ha!  Yeah…I’m dreaming! 

I know I should be working on Christmas items for my shop but I keep getting sidetracked!  Of  course, ANY scrapbook would make a great  Christmas gift…it doesn’t have to be a Christmas scrapbook, right?  :)
