Anyone up for a game of volleyball?

volley 001 I have a new favorite company!  Okay….I have LOTS of favorite companies…but this is a new one to me at least.  It’s called Adornit and they have some awesome stuff!!   I picked this volleyball set up the other day and one for basketball too…haven’t pulled that one together yet but it’s on the agenda.  I’m not sure what it is about the stickers that really caught my eye, maybe the clean lines.  Anyway, just love them!  Oh yeah…I got some birthday stuff from this line too.  Oh, so many fun things to scrap.    There are also a couple of blogs associated with the website.  I haven’t had a chance to check them out too much yet, but you know I will be putting them on my list of places to visit!

Yesterday I stopped at one of my favorite scrapbooking stores….Archiver’s.  I came home with glitter.  Not the bottle kind…but every single thing I bought except ONE had some sort of glitter or shimmer to it.   And, a lot of pink.  Hmmm.  Apparently I’m stuck on shimmer because I also bought some Glimmer Mist by Tattered Angels on Friday!  Ok….yeah, that WAS the bottle kind!  :)

Glimmer Mist

So far I’ve only practiced with it but I can’t wait to use it on a project!!!  Hopefully I won’t get too carried away.

I’ve seen this  around for awhile now.

It’s Tim Holtz’s Tiny Attacher.  Every time I saw it I thought, how silly….another stapler.  BUT, boy was I wrong.  It puts out the cutest little staples ever and I’m not sure why, but I just have to have one!

I’m also loving little crocheted flowers.   I first saw them here…(well maybe not this particular post but somewhere on her blog) and fell in love.  Aren’t they the cutest ever?  (you did go check them out right?).  As long as you’re popping over to the crescendoh blog, you’ve got to see the SHOE!  Totally awesome!

While out shopping yesterday I also stopped at Borders.  Another place I could spend HOURS!  I always have to leaf through the new copy of Artful Blogging.

And, of course, all the other Somerset magazines they had in stock.   They make me smile!  :)

My last stop was at Michael’s.  They had some fun and funky felt “ribbon” for a buck a spool.  There was NO WAY I could pass that up!   I love it when I find fun stuff!  Especially when it’s CHEAP!

Now…hopefully this week I can actually stay home long enough to get some “work” done!

My Favorite Show

I just finished watching the entire West Wing series for oh….I don’t know…maybe the 8th or 9th time.  I LOVE that show!  I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed…but some might disagree.   I like to have it on in the “background” while I’m scrapbooking.  I’ve seen it so many times that I don’t have to focus on every single word of dialog to know what’s going on.   It’s comfortable to me…and inspiring.

This morning when I was getting ready for work this quote popped into my head.

“You campaign in poetry. You govern in prose.”

It’s a Leo quote from West Wing.  I think it was originally a quote from Mario Cuomo.  Anyway, it bounced around in my head all morning.  I think it’s the reason I love campaigns a bit more than the everyday governing.  Ya know….being a ‘creative’ type and all!  :)

Tomorrow is the FIRST day of SPRING!   Hooray!  I hope the weather where you are is balmy and spring-like.  As for here in the Midwest…we’re supposed to get snow.  Urgh.  It’s been in the 60’s the past few days so we’ve gotten spoiled.  I’m crossing my fingers that the weatherman is wrong and it will be decent here tomorrow.  I’m making a trip to the city to pick up Elliot.  He’ll be home for a week for spring break.  Can’t wait to see him!

We’re totally undecided around here about getting a new dog.  After losing our beloved Lucky on Monday we are hating the emptiness of the house…but we can’t quite bring ourselves to replace him….because of course, he can’t be replaced in our hearts…and all we want is to have him back!

So, what do you think?  Will a new puppy heal our broken hearts?

The Best Dog Ever

Our Lucky dog took his last breath today.  He was so sick and in so much pain that it was a relief to let him go, but so sad that our hearts are breaking.   The house already seems quiet and empty without him.  :(

Spring is just around the corner…and for the past few years around here that has meant PROM!  Not this year.  Been there.  Done that.  We’ve moved on to pledging….but that’s a whole other story!
