Today is Memorial Day….the traditional start of summer…so I thought this would be a good day to start off with this fun little “Summer of Love” scrapbook!

Maybe it’s just my age….a product of the 60s that makes me relate so easily to these funky designs.
Whatever it is, I think it’s a fun book. And, a great way to capture memories of that summer romance….

My girls are finishing up their first year of college already! ALREADY! I think they’ve had a pretty good year. It still surprises me when they pop into my office. It still seems a little out of context but it’s nice to be able to see them every now and then.
This scrapbook is perfect for capturing a few of the special moments from the school year. You KNOW they’ve got pictures too! All those silly in-your-face kind of photos that typically end up on Facebook.

I’ve been working on orders all weekend. Trying to catch up on things that got pushed aside a little bit the past couple of weeks while I was dealing with back pain. Thankfully, I’m finally feeling better.
Anyway, like I said, I’ve been working on orders and somehow almost all those orders have a boyish theme. Don’t get me wrong…I LOVE orders and I LOVE boys….but this adorable little princess paper has been sitting here taunting me for days. I just couldn’t resist any longer!
And, what about that white butterfly trim? Can you see the butterflies along the edge of the black paper? They’re held in place by some pink brads. Just love it!
I couldn’t resist using some of the white pom pom trim either. I can’t remember where I got that trim but every time I’m at the store I look for it hoping to find some more before I run out!
Oh…by the way…the paper and stickers are from the ADORNit line by Carolees Creations.
Okay, okay…now I’m going back to the boy paper….. :)

Tomorrow is the FIRST day of SPRING! Hooray! I hope the weather where you are is balmy and spring-like. As for here in the Midwest…we’re supposed to get snow. Urgh. It’s been in the 60’s the past few days so we’ve gotten spoiled. I’m crossing my fingers that the weatherman is wrong and it will be decent here tomorrow. I’m making a trip to the city to pick up Elliot. He’ll be home for a week for spring break. Can’t wait to see him!
We’re totally undecided around here about getting a new dog. After losing our beloved Lucky on Monday we are hating the emptiness of the house…but we can’t quite bring ourselves to replace him….because of course, he can’t be replaced in our hearts…and all we want is to have him back!
So, what do you think? Will a new puppy heal our broken hearts?
